Jeremy Collins’s atmospheric and expansive Elegy , pushes the sonic boundaries of the instrument by utilizing a unique alternate tuning. Instead of opting for a traditional guitar tuning (E,A,D,G,B,E) Collins uses an open tuning of (C#,A#,E,G#,C,E) which results in lush harmonies and haunting melodies.

Lost to the World
-
The album’s title is inspired by the poem Ich bin Der Welt abandon gekommen (I am lost to the world) by Friedrich Rückert, which captures the evocative and sentimental nature of the album. Across the five tracks on the recording, the music offers a quiet contemplation to the listener while exploring a wide breadth of the classical guitar repertoire.
